Car Break-ins Continue Downtown

23-Jun-2009 Yesterday some local mountain bikers parked on 2nd Street - thinking it was safer since it was on a fairly busy road - and went for a ride on the JRP trails. When they returned, they found both cars had been broken into; the vandals smashed windows, stole purses, credit cards, etc.

Just a reminder - be sure that when you park...no matter where, DO NOT leave valuables laying in the open. Lock them in your trunk or, if you don't have a trunk, be sure to put them somewhere out of site and/or cover them so as to not present a tempting target to those looking to make money off your possessions.
